Featured Wine Specials for the Week of March 30th, 2009
Sauvignon Blanc – 2007 Monkey Bay - Marlborough NZ
The aromas of tropical fruits combined with the traditional nettle and herbaceous aromas of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. The palate is firm. Good to drink with anyone at anytime, ideally suited to asparagus, oysters, clams and salads.
Cabernet Sauvignon - 2006 Estancia, Paso Robles
The wine’s appearance is dark purple with dark red highlights. The aroma is ripe currant and plum with back notes of cedar and spice. The flavor is intriguing cassis and blackberry flavors are followed with hints of brown spices and firm, mouth coating tannins.
Pinot Noir - 2007 Esser, California
This wine blends pinot grapes from Sonoma, Napa, and Mendocino, Monterey, Solano, and San Luis Obispo counties. Brilliant medium garnet in color, the wine’s aromas are keynoted by violets, baked stone fruits and clove/allspice/fennel notes.
